Shep Rose Clarifies Remark on Taylor's Family Wanting Them Together: "Old Feelings..."
Plus, Southern Charm's Shep Rose shared if he's still in touch with ex Taylor Ann Green's family.
On Season 10, Episode 2 of Southern Charm, Shep Rose stated that he believes his ex-girlfriend Taylor Ann Green's family wishes that they were still together.
“I know that her mom and dad wish she was still with me,” he said on the episode. “And her grandfather and grandmother, and her whole family.”
Taylor, who is currently in a relationship with Gaston Rojas, shot down Shep's claim after the episode aired. Then, fast-forward to the December 19 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and Shep clarified his comment.
"I do not think that currently," he said when asked if Taylor's family really wants the exes to reconcile. "But shortly after the breakup, there was — I'm still in contact with her mom."
He continued, "They're wonderful people, but, of course not. The ship has sailed, but maybe I shouldn't have said that but old feelings die hard, you know what I mean?"
Taylor has moved on with Gaston, while Shep is pursing former Miss Bahamas winner, Sienna Evans, on Southern Charm Season 10.
What did Taylor Ann Green say after Shep claimed her family wants them to get back together?
Taylor did not hold back once she heard what Shep had to say about her family.
“Yeah. I’m gonna pop off here a second, publicly,” she wrote in an Instagram Story. “Let me shout from the mountain tops that both my parents, my grandparents, and yes, even my recently late grandfather all couldn’t be happier that I’ve moved on and am in a much better, happier, and healthier relationship.”
She then addressed her ex directly.
"So this comment. SENDS ME. What planet do you live on, bro?" she continued. "You cheated on me [four] times (that I know of), and you think my family wishes I was still with you? DELUSIONAL.
When did Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green date?
After years of avoiding relationships, Shep seemed to be settling down when he started dating Taylor in 2020.
The pair highlighted their relationship on Season 7, though they experienced some turmoil in their relationship. During the Season 7 reunion, Shep confessed to cheating on Taylor (but the two stayed together to try to work things out).
Taylor joined the Southern Charm cast full-time on Season 8, but her romance with Shep officially came to an end in 2022, after filming wrapped.
