What Is a Perfect Date For Shep?

Shep Rose found himself in the hospital last week to deal with a longstanding knee injury. The RelationShep bachelor confirmed the news on Instagram, and shared with his fans a photo of himself in his hospital gown. "I got the nice nurse to take a pre-op picture before [I] got my knee scoped yesterday. She insisted I smiled so [I] didn’t look deceased. Probably good for all parties involved. Feel better already," he noted on social media about the surgery.

When Shep stopped by The Daily Dish offices this week, he broke down the events that finally led him to make the decision to go under the knife and fix the injury.

"It was something that happened over time. It wasn't a seismic event — it was just wear and tear and I got my knee scoped," the Southern Charm pal explained of last Friday's procedure, before going into the nitty gritty of one painful day earlier this year that led to the surgery.

"I was in L.A. this summer and woke up one morning and couldn't move," he said. "And I didn't know what the hell happened. I must have injured it cause it was feeling kind of weird before that. So I went to my friend's house in L.A. in Venice Beach and he doesn't have air conditioning, which is insane. I guess at night it gets cool in Los Angeles, but I'm sitting there sweating on the couch. My leg can't move and I ordered Grub Hub and got some bad Chinese food and got sick. And I was throwing up and I also couldn't move. It was one of the worst days of my life. So I was like 'I got to get this fixed.' So I got it fixed — that's the good news."

So, how did Shep injure the knee in the first place? He offered these theories: "Surfing, football, God knows what else. Partying — an old partying injury."
