Shep Rose's Dog Lil Craig Actually Has 2 Dads: "I Wouldn't Know What to Do Otherwise"
The Southern Charm pup splits his time between two households in Charleston.
Shep Rose introduced his new pup, Lil Craig, to the world on Season 6 of Southern Charm. He went to pick up his new dog on camera and even treated viewers to an adorable daddy-dog photo shoot. But the Charleston bachelor actually left a few things out about their arrangement... like that he's not the only pop in his pup's life.
He revealed in a behind-the-scenes Season 6 reunion video that he actually shares Lil Craig with a buddy of his. While Shep was filming the reunion, Craig was "with his co-parent, my friend Tony, which has been a huge, huge help. He's one of my best buddies; I've known him since high school and he moved to Charleston and I was like, "I want a dog. I think it would be good,' and he goes, 'I do, too.' And I was like, 'Well, I don't think we should get two dogs.'"
Here's how Shep proposed they split up daddy duties: "Look, I'm crazy traveling, I'll take care of him, I'll pay for whatever needs to be paid for but let's go in together on a dog, basically. And he lives five minutes away and it's easy," he said.
In fact, "I wouldn't know what to do otherwise, honestly," Shep confessed. "My mom said, 'You are not pawning this dog off on us.' Which my brother did. Which is fine, so I don't want to lose the little guy. I like him. He's great."
Shep and Tony's modern co-parenting relationship even inspired this iconic photo:
In fact, Shep isn't the only Bravoleb to share a dog with someone else: The Real Housewives of New York City alum Carole Radziwill happens to share a dog with model RJ King, the brother of The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King Edmonds, and their friend Tripp Swanhaus.
