Sneak Peek: Hear Porsha Williams' Single 'Flatline'
The Atlanta Housewife's breakup anthem hits retailers next week.
Sing it, girl!
Porsha Williams is set to make her mark on the music world with her debut single next week—and now you can hear her soulful singing chops for yourself.
The Atlanta Housewife has offered up a promo teaser for "Flatline," which hits iTunes March 17th. She shared a brief snippet of the single on her Instagram. Check it out below.
The track—which will be featured on an upcoming five-song EP—mines the personal heartbreak of her divorce from ex-husband Kordell Stewart. "I've been working on this song throughout the whole divorce and the whole season [of RHOA], mapping out my emotions and putting in things that I've gone through," she told the Dish in January. "It's really kind of a documentary of everything that I went through to become who I am now."
Porsha also shared that she sought some casual advice from her co-star Kandi Burruss. "We didn’t work together on any of these songs, but she did stop by the studio once or twice while I was working on a couple songs and gave me a few angles and pointers," Porsha said. "She was such a great friend—pushing me and telling me she believed in me. She was very encouraging."
Other Housewives like Kim Zolciak, LuAnn de Lesseps, and Gretchen Rossi have also tried their hand at music careers, which have earned mixed reviews from fans. And Porsha is very aware there might be some similar haters out there. "I know that I'm taking myself seriously," she said. "This is not my first time in the studio...I didn't become a Housewife and say, 'Oh, I want to sing!'"
