Southern Charm's grande dame has some sad news to share. On November 6, Patricia Altschul posted a pic of her family's dog Smoochie and shared an update in the caption. "Yesterday we lost a beloved member of our family. Smoochie was a 15 year old Boxer who was rescued by [Whitney Sudler Smith] in LA after she was attacked by coyotes. R.I.P dear Smoochie..we will love and remember you forever," she wrote.
Patricia has long been an animal lover and often features her pets on social media. An Instagram deep dive last year confirmed she had two Pomeranians (Siegfried and Roy) and a pug (Chauncey), as well as a Lagotto Romagnolo (Monty) and the late boxer Smoochie — both of which belong to her son, Whitney.
Her passion for animals even inspired a business venture. Her Patricia's Couture caftan line features billowing fabrics printed with customized photos of dogs, cats, or any type of pets.
