Will Shep Ever Apologize to Craig for Past Comments He’s Made? The Answer Might Surprise You (UPDATED)
Southern Charm cast members Shep Rose and Craig Conover reflected on their friendship “journey” over the years.
UPDATE (August 25, 10:52 A.M.): In a preview for the August 25 episode of Southern Charm, the tensions between Shep and Craig become a hot topic for the duo, which you can check out in the clip above.
The original story continues below.
Craig Conover and Shep Rose have certainly experienced many ups and downs in their friendship over the years. And many of those moments have been documented on Southern Charm. In fact, in the past, Shep was rather, well, opinionated about Craig's life and career.
These days, however, Craig is a busy and thriving businessman, so does Shep feel the need to apologize for his past comments about his friend?
“I mean, look, we are in a really good place right now,” he said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on June 23, the same day as the Season 8 premiere of Southern Charm. “We’re gonna go have fun tonight and tomorrow. I don’t think apologies are really necessary. It’s been a journey.”
Craig does feel slightly differently about that, as he expressed when he also appeared in the Clubhouse the same night. “I’m a big apology guy. He does not believe in apologies,” he said, later adding, “He’s still convinced he’s the reason I am where I am, because of his tough love.”
This brings us to the Season 8 premiere (check out the clip above) and one comment made by John Pringle, which left Andy Cohen wanting to know what Shep thinks of “Pringle saying you’re jealous of [Craig’s] success.”
“I’m a very lucky guy. I’d be hard-pressed to find anybody that I’m jealous of; my life has been absolutely great. I wish him all the best, I do, and he’d better be successful, ’cause he’s got expensive taste,” he said, later adding, “I’m not jealous.”
Andy went on to say, “By the way, he really proved you wrong.”
“He’s done a 180,” Shep said, with Craig noting, “I think Shep would be more mad that he was wrong than jealous.”
Later in the episode, during the “Watch What Happens 5” segment, they each listed what they do like about each other. “I could call him for, actually, anything and he would come through,” Craig noted on his list about Shep.
Shep shared, “I get advice from Craig, and it’s actually good advice,” later sharing, “I trust him.”
