Stassi Schroeder "Can't Believe" She's Finally Telling This Cringeworthy Story in Her New Book
"I didn't even tell my friends for years and years and years," Vanderpump Rules' Stassi Schroeder said.
Stassi Schroeder has never been one to hold anything back in seven seasons of Vanderpump Rules, whether it's opening up about her own life or telling her friends (and frenemies) exactly what she thinks about them. But believe it or not, Stassi has some secrets that she's never gone public with before — until now.
Stassi shares her infinite wisdom on living your most authentic life in her new book, Next Level Basic: The Definitive Basic Bitch Handbook, available now. She does so through the ups, downs, drama, #OOTD photos, and ranch dressing indulgences in her own life.
But Stassi isn't so sure that she's quite ready to open up about one experience in her life with readers: losing her virginity. "Oh my god, so freaking embarrassing, and I cringe," Stassi said of the part of her book she believes fans will be most surprised about in a Q&A with her book publisher Simon & Schuster, debuting exclusively on The Daily Dish. "And I can't believe it's now gonna be out there for people to, like, just know, because I didn't even tell my friends for years and years and years. I'm sweating thinking about it."
Stassi also teased that more stories from when she was growing up and behind-the-scenes intel from Vanderpump Rules are sure to drop readers' jaws. But the Vanderpump Rules author said that she's hoping her book will help others embrace who they really are and their own stories. "I was really inspired to do this because when I started my podcast [Straight Up with Stassi], I realized that what a lot of my listeners were connecting with were when I would talk about being a basic bitch or basic things that would happen to me," she explained during the Q&A. "And that got me thinking, like oh my gosh, this is a community of basic bitches, and I want to write a book about it."
In fact, Stassi said that all of life's experiences — good and bad — have helped shape her into the woman she is today, which is why she said she doesn't really have any advice that she would give her younger self. "See, this is a tricky question because everything that I did as a kid has gotten me to where I am now, so I would probably say zero," Stassi explained. "Just continue what you're doing, chick. You're gonna be OK."
