Go Inside the Moment Carl Radke Proposed to Lindsay Hubbard
The Summer House couple's dreamy Instagram engagement photos had the Bravo family swooning.
Summer House couple Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke’s engagement was a joyous occasion they couldn’t wait to share with the world. After confirming the proposal to People on Sunday, August 28, the pair also posted several photos from the romantic moment on Instagram.
Lindsay’s carousel of 10 photos began with Carl down on one knee during a Hamptons beach picnic on Saturday, August 27, capturing the sheer happiness and excitement on her face. Of course, the bride-to-be showed off her stunning engagement ring in several slides, as the couple also shared a celebratory kiss. “YOOOOOOO,” Lindsay captioned the post, adding a diamond ring emoji and the hashtag, “A Thousand Times Yes.”
Once the news began to spread, several Bravolebrities across multiple franchises took the time to congratulate the happy couple. Summer House's Amanda Batula, Andrea Denver, and Everett Weston all shared their reactions to the news. “So happy for you guys! Congratulations again on this [once-in-a-lifetime] moment,” Andrea wrote, adding three red heart emojis.
Meanwhile, the Real Housewives were represented by The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Tamra Judge and Braunwyn Windham-Burke, as well as The Real Housewives of New York City’s Sonja Morgan, among others. Rounding out the Bravoleb well-wishers were Vanderpump Rules’ Scheana Shay and Katie Maloney, as well as Family Karma’s Vishal Parvani and Below Deck Mediterranean’s Kasey Cohen.
Despite their long friendship before making their relationship Instagram official earlier this year, Lindsay said she had no idea Carl was going to propose when he did. "I was so surprised, I'm still in shock!" she gushed in their joint post-engagement interview with People. Carl, for his part, added, "It was quite the whirlwind throwing off Lindsay. She's a tough one to catch off guard!"
Now, the couple is looking to the future — including starting a family — with a hands-off approach.
"I am very much of the mindset of, whichever way the universe wants to go with our timeline, I'll follow," Lindsay shared. "I threw my own timelines out the door, they do not exist. Whether a wedding or marriage comes first or a baby, it doesn't matter. This is my life partner; we want all the same things together."
