Lindsay Hubbard Gives an Update on Her Egg Freezing Journey
The Summer House cast member revealed the latest details on her experience with the process.
Lindsay Hubbard is opening up as she begins the process of freezing her eggs, revealing details of her experience.
The Summer House cast member has previously shared her feelings about wanting to start a family as she visited a fertility clinic with Danielle Olivera in the February 28 episode. "I've been thinking and talking about freezing my eggs for a while because I've settled in the past and I was forcing something because I was up against my own timeline," Lindsay shared during an interview in the episode, going on to add that she had tests done at the clinic to see what she "working with" as part of her first step in her fertility journey.
Lindsay went on to receive some good news about her test results from her doctor during her appointment, which she referenced while giving her speech at her "twisted fairytale" birthday bash: "Thank you for celebrating my 35th birthday going on 28-year-old eggs." She also mentioned the news during an interview in the episode, saying, "I'm so excited for my birthday! My eggs are in their prime. It's Hot Hubbs Summer."
Recently, Lindsay took to Instagram to share more about that appointment and her next steps regarding her fertility journey. "Okay…You guys remember when I checked my AMH levels (approx egg count #’s) on Summer House earlier this season? Well, I finally found a couple of weeks/time to sit still enough in NYC to follow through with the egg freezing process!" Lindsay shared in her May 1 post, alongside a photo with her doctor at the fertility clinic.
She continued to reveal details about the process in the caption of her post, writing, "Right now, I’m on my 3rd day of hormone injections (I started on Friday) and it’s really not so bad…but I have about another week to go, so we’ll see lol!" Lindsay also opened up about sharing the ups and downs of the experience with her boyfriend, Carl Radke, adding, "I mean, I talked to [Carl] on the phone this morning (because he’s been out of town this [weekend]) and I teared up, then laughed hysterically at something, and then cried because my eyes are puffy and I feel like a pirate!"
Lindsay mentioned that she would continue to try sharing her fertility journey, as she concluded her post, "Anyway, I will try to document some of my journey in my stories this week, but honestly who knows how I’m going to be feeling. So if I seem like I’m off the grid a little bit, this is why!"
This isn't the first time Lindsay has been open about her fertility journey and everything she had been going through prior to the start of her summer in the Hamptons. Lindsay previously told HollywoodLife about how viewers would get to see her "fertility journey throughout the season" on Summer House and reflected on the difficult time she experienced after suffering a miscarriage that occurred just weeks before the start of Season 6, telling the website that she wanted to “pull out the positive” from the experience.
“One huge positive for me was like, ‘Wow, I’m able to get pregnant,’" she said. "I actually thought I might have had fertility issues considering I’ve never gotten pregnant before, and I think that’s something a lot of women fear."
