Check out These Producer Picks for the Best Summer House Moments of All Time
According to the producer who's seen it all, these are the top 10 episodes of Summer House.
We all have our own favorite episodes of Summer House, but have you ever wondered which moments the people behind the scenes love the most? Well, here's your chance to find out! Josh Brown, Vice President of Current Production for Bravo revealed his absolute favorite episodes from the show — and they're all here in one place. Keep reading to discover Josh's favorite Summer House episodes of all time and find out why you should check them all out.
1. Season 1, Episode 1
Kyle and Stassi in the Hot Tub
You always wonder whether you "have something" when you start a new series. You can't make up things like Kyle Cooke's drunken attempt to hit on Stassi Schroeder from Vanderpump Rules... telling her that her bathing suit makes her look like Apple founder Steve Jobs. Watching the action from the control room, this was that moment where we realized we might have something special!
2. Season 1, Episode 2
Carl and Lauren Cake-Out
A "cake-out" is a classic Summer House move — it's fun, wild, and perhaps mildly dysfunctional! Cake-ing out was Carl Radke and Lauren Wirkus' unique way to initiate their up and down (and up and down a few more times) relationship.
3. Season 1, Episode 10
Cristina Gibson Reporting Live!
A great exit is the sign of a fun series... Here our Season 1 cast member — entertainment reporter Cristina Gibson — grabs a "microphone" (aka a magnum of rosé) and reports her self-imposed exile from the house!
4. Season 2, Episode 5
Wirkus Watermelon Smash
We learn from this episode that the smashing of a large piece of fruit can be an affective way to express anger! Ashley Wirkus totally destroys a watermelon to convey her feelings on Carl and her twin sister Lauren's relationship.
5. Season 2, Episode 6
Mom-tons
The moms join the action at the house! I always love seeing cast members' parents — you get a window on a different side of someone's character... and it humanizes them. And on Summer House, the moms actually sleep over!
6. Season 2, Episode 8
Lindsay Loses It at Kyle's Birthday
If you are a Summer House fan, every season you look forward to Kyle's birthday party... and also, at some point... the strong-willed Lindsay Hubbard going off on someone. Lindsay pops off on most of the cast, including on-again-off-again boyfriend Everett... as Kyle's birthday party devolves into the usual fun debauchery.
7. Season 3, Episode 10
Amanda Confronts Kyle About Cheating Rumor
It's awkward to say this is a "favorite" episode because it involved such a difficult real-life moment for Kyle and Amanda Batula's relationship. But what I think is so special is how the episode slows down almost to real-time... to focus on a key turning point in Kyle and Amanda's lives. It is very dramatic and something probably man viewers can relate to in some way.
8. Season 3, Episodes 12 &13
Vanderpump Rules Cast Visits and a Dangerous Paper Towel Roll Incident Ensues
Another incredible visit from some of the cast members' friends from Vanderpump Rules — this time Stassi and Beau Clark, and Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney-Schwartz. All I can say is that a roll of paper towels ends up on fire and Kyle ends up alone on an island... literally.
9. Season 4, Episode 1
Paige and Hannah Take on Kyle
The group tends to come into the first weekend of the season HOT... and Season 4 is no exception. On our Season 4 premiere, a big rift opens up between Paige DeSorbo/Hannah Berner and Kyle... leading to new cast member Jules Daoud literally breaking her chair and falling out of it!
10. Season 4, Episodes 9 & 10
Kyle's Birthday Frat Party
To paraphrase Stefon from Saturday night Live: This party has everything: Togas. Loverboy. Goat poop on a tennis court. Hannah making Luke Gulbranson jealous by flirting with Austen Kroll from Southern Charm. And a dramatic decision on whom to kick out of the house!
You can watch all of Josh's picks and other episodes across all four seasons of Summer House right now on the Bravo App.
