Whenever adults live together under one roof, there's bound to be a few fights over dirty dishes and bathroom time. Sometimes, there will be those roommates who will never get along because of these issues. Why would the cast of Summer House be any different? Summer House's resident couple Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula revealed on The Daily Dish podcast's "News and Booze" episode that there's one housemate they'll never see eye-to-eye with, especially when it comes to common courtesies: Amit Neuman.
"I haven't said anything; I've kept my mouth shut," Amanda admitted trepidatiously. "Amit is just not my favorite human being."
"He just rubs me the wrong way a little bit," she went on. "We just don't have the same views on, you know, working hard and pitching in and just having normal social cues and being considerate of others."
Amanda said she'd experienced a few moments with Amit throughout the summer that "frustrated" her. "And it takes a lot to frustrate Amanda; case in point, I'm still here," Kyle joked on the podcast.
One aspect of communal living in which Amit really grinded their gears was food sharing in the house. According to Amanda, she, Kyle, and Lauren would be in charge of food planning and grocery shopping for dinners during the weekend. "And one morning, we'd wake up and Amit would be cooking chicken on the grill, and we were like, 'That's for dinner tonight!' ... He never really got that."
The couple says their issues with Amit weren't just around the fridge, however. "There was a sense of — I don't even know if 'entitlement' is the right word, but selfishness," Kyle said.
"We'd all be cleaning in the morning and he'd be doing his laundry and not really pitching in with the house cleaning," Amanda added.
"A lot of little things like that just kind of built up in me," Amanda lamented. "He is a lost cause for me; I'm over it."
