Tamra Judge Reveals Where She "Would Like" Daughter Sophia to Go to College (EXCLUSIVE)
The RHOC kid shared her perspective on returning to the show for Season 18: "It was a new experience."
When The Real Housewives of Orange County returned for Season 18 on July 11, Tamra Judge reintroduced viewers to her youngest daughter, Sophia Barney.
The OC kid last appeared on our screens in Season 5. After taking some time away, now 18, she returned to film alongside her mom. During an exclusive catch-up with BravoTV.com on August 15, Sophia opened up about what it was like to get back to filming. She also revealed more about her college plans.
"I'm going to a community college near where we live for two years," Sophia said about her plans for the fall. Sophia has her next two years figured out, but Tamra is now encouraging her to make a major move after that.
"I was just talking to her because she really likes New York. She's like, 'God, everybody is so fun,'" Tamra told BravoTV.com. "And I'm like, 'Maybe you should go to school here after you do your general ed. So I would like to see that."
"Maybe," Sophia teased. In the meantime, Sophia shared that she is working on music.
"I produce music and I sing and I do a lot of electronic type of music and some guitar even," she shared. "I have a band camp."
Sophia Barney discusses her RHOC return
When it came time in this current season for Sophia to decide whether or not to film with her mom, it was a no-brainer. "It was fun," Sophia said about returning to the show after a 14-year break. "I haven't filmed since I was four years old, so I don't really remember it very much, but it was a new experience."
Sophia may not have many memories from her initial time on RHOC, but her mom does. "Oh, I remember it," Tamra said while sitting next to her daughter. "I remember one day we were filming, and she took the scissors and cut her bangs off. She's still cutting her bangs."
As Tamra said, she was a bit nervous about having Sophia come back to the show for one major reason. "For me, it was a little nerve-wracking because I know how hard social media can be and how mean they can be," she explained. "But, she's such a strong person."
Sophia proved just that with her response. "I don't even care," she said about any social media reactions.
"She doesn't care," Tamra agreed. "She doesn't spend a lot of time on social. Right now, she's the cool chick that people want to hang out with. That's the only thing I read about you."
