#TBT: Marcel Vigneron’s Best 'Top Chef' Zingers

The Cheftestant is known for making good food—and plenty of drama.

By Pat Cauley

Every Thursday, celebrate #TBT with us as we open the vault to share photos of Bravolebrities before they were famous—or revisit memorable moments from our shows. This week, in honor of our announcement of the new series Top Chef Duels, we’re revisiting some classic culinary moments with Marcel Vigneron.

How to Watch

Watch Top Chef Season 21 Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and next day on Peacock.

Many of our Bravolebrities love to stir the pot, but Marcel may be one of the few who has managed to stir the pot while literally stirring the pot. The Top Chef Season 2 runner-up has been described as an artisan with an affinity for culinary knowledge, who uses a knife as an extension of his hand, the kitchen as a lab, and the earth as a grocery store. But, some of his fellow chefs may contend that his smack-talking may get in the way of his cooking.

"One of our most complicated and controversial chefs was Marcel Vigneron,” Andy said prefacing this montage clip shown during the Top Chef All-Stars reunion.

If you’ve missed Marcel, fear not. He’ll be competing head-to-head with Top Chef All-Stars winner Richard Blais in the series premiere of Top Chef Duels on August 6, at 10p ET/PT.
