Every Thursday, celebrate #TBT with us as we open the vault to share photos of Bravolebrities before they were famous—or revisit memorable moments from our shows. This week, we’re throwing it back to Porsha Stewart’s infamous exit line.
We're all familiar with Real Housewives’ dinners gone wrong. But lunches? They're sometimes even more delicious to watch.
One of the most hilarious displays of such daytime drama came courtesy of Porsha Stewart during Season 5 of RHOA when Kenya Moore invited her to lunch to discuss the status of their friendship. When Kenya insinuated that Porsha was Phaedra Parks’ pawn, suddenly all bets were off.
Arguably, no other Real Housewives franchise has brought us as many catch phrases as our RHOA peaches. From this summer's "Bye Felicia" phenomenon to Sheree Whitfield's Who Gon’ Check Me, Boo?’, the RHOA 'Wives flippant insults are always on point. But, the simplicity and delivery of "Bye Ashy" was not lost on anyone. After airing, the phrase became somewhat of a cultural touchstone, even inspiring parody video reenactments from the Real Dragwives.
Yet, landing with this hilarious entry on Urban Dictionary may take the cake: "Phrase popularized by reality TV star Porsha Stewart. It's similar to the phrase 'bye bitch' in the sense that it is nothing more than a phrase marking the end of a conversation with an offensive word or expletive to add spice."
