Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Addresses Criticism That She's Changed: "I Am Still the Same Teddi"
Are we seeing a different side of the accountability coach on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?
With one season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills already under Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave's belt, you would think that going into her sophomore effort in Season 9 would be a breeze for the accountability coach. But then she got involved in a little thing called Puppy-Gate.
“Coming into this year, I mean, I knew about the information about the dog kind of even before we starting filming, so I knew it was gonna be a crazy season regardless. But yeah, I mean, there’s highs and lows, and for me, in the end, I have a clear conscience," Teddi said of beginning her second season of RHOBH during an interview with The Daily Dish in March.
"I had a lot more fun this season. So even though there’s been some really bad stuff, there’s been some really good stuff, too," she added.
Some RHOBH fans have said they've even noticed a difference in Teddi from Season 8 to Season 9. One fan recently remarked on Twitter how she found Teddi's promotion of a healthy lifestyle and accountability to be inspirational in her own life last season. However, she said now some of Teddi's recent behavior, including her conversation with Camille Grammer in Tuesday night's episode of RHOBH (clip above), "doesn't make me feel good."
Teddi responded to her tweet, "Aw! I am still the same Teddi (I had my shady moments last year as well, it's all in fun). But I hear you. Keep up the good work on yourself!"
Still, Teddi previously told The Daily Dish she has heard from a lot of fans that she seems more vocal this season of RHOBH, whether it was in speaking out on her role in Puppy-Gate or in some tense moments with Camille and Dorit Kemsley. However, she said this Teddi has been there all along; she just hadn't come out yet.
“Yeah, people have asked me, ‘Have you changed? You seem like you speak your mind more.’ That is me, in general. When I meet a new group of people, I don’t go in and I’m like, ‘Hey, here I am, and these are all my opinions about things I know nothing about,'" Teddi explained.
"So for me, I have relationships with these women now. Those relationships have ebbed and flowed. Some have gotten stronger, some have weakened, but I have true opinions. And if I have a true opinion, I’m gonna speak on it. And so, I haven’t changed; my relationships have grown. And with growth, you’re gonna see more opinions," she concluded.
