Teddi Comments on Shooting at Property She Owns: "We Would Like to Extend Our Prayers"
Rapper Pop Smoke was staying at a home in the Hollywood Hills when he was shot.
After the fatal shooting of 20-year-old rapper Pop Smoke at a home she owns with husband Edwin Arroyave in the Hollywood Hills, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave has spoken out about the tragic incident on Instagram.
"Early this am we were informed by a 3rd party leasing and management company overseeing a rental home we own in Los Angeles that a shooting had taken place at the property. Foremost, we would like to extend our prayers and condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragic loss of life," The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom wrote. "We aren’t aware of any of the details beyond what we’ve been told or seen reported on the news and at this time we would like to refrain from commenting further as we wish for the focus to remain on the law enforcement officers who are diligently doing their jobs."
According to TMZ, Pop Smoke was shot and killed on Wednesday (February 19) in an alleged home invasion robbery involving masked individuals. He was later taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and pronounced dead.
The rapper was signed to Republic Records, who released a statement to the L.A. Times about the New York native's passing: “We are devastated by the unexpected and tragic loss of Pop Smoke. Our prayers and thoughts go out to his family, friends and fans, as we mourn this loss together.”
