Joe Giudice Thanks Late Father-in-Law, Giacinto Gorga, for "Being a Guiding Light"
The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband recalls his fondest memories of Teresa Giudice's dad.
Joe Giudice honored his late father-in-law, Giacinto Gorga, in a touching post on Instagram following his passing on Friday, April 3.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband paid tribute to Giacinto, the father of Teresa Giudice and her brother, Joe Gorga, on Instagram. "My [father-in-law was a great man," Joe captioned one of the photos of himself with Giacinto from his father-in-law's trip to Italy in November. "He made sure that everyone in his family was provided for, because he loved them so much."
Joe also thanked Giacinto "for setting an example for us and my girls" and called him "an exemplary example." "We benefited from it every day," Joe shared, before also calling his late father-in-law "a guiding light." "Your experiences and knowledge helped us navigate day-to-day challenges."
Joe recalled Giacinto's cooking during holidays with the family. "I cherish the times we all sat around the table together playing cards and listening to your remembrances of thanks," he said, before praising Giacinto's "wit," which he remarked that Teresa "got the best of."
The post ended with Joe sharing that Giacinto is now reunited with his wife, Antonia Gorga, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 66, as well as his father, Frank Giudice, whom he lost in 2014. "Now, your [love] and my dad are smiling in this tough time because they get to enjoy your good food and funny jokes," Joe shared.
Teresa shared the news of her father's passing on Instagram on April 3, calling him, "My father, my protector, my hero."
Though Giacinto didn't always approve of Joe's actions, the two appeared to have a good relationship independent of Teresa. Giacinto visited Joe in Italy after he was released from ICE custody prior to Teresa's visit with their daughters. Joe had also been working on renovating Giacinto's house in Italy in preparation for when his family came to see him again.
