Jackie Goldschneider on Standing up to Teresa Giudice: "I Was Not Scared of Anybody"
Here's why The Real Housewives of New Jersey newbie didn't have a problem challenging the Garden State OG.
It takes a lot of guts to go up against an OG Housewife in your inaugural season, but apparently Jackie Goldschneider has all the courage in the world. The Real Housewives of New Jersey rookie seems to have ruffled the feathers of the Garden State OG herself, Teresa Giudice, after she came to Melissa Gorga's defense during a debate over whether or not a wife can control her husband, which you can check out in the above clip. Oh, and Jackie also reminded everyone that Teresa's husband, Joe Giudice, is currently serving out his 41-month prison sentence, which went over about as well as you'd expect.
Now, we would think challenging someone like Teresa would be pretty intimidating for a RHONJ newbie. For one thing, she has the most experience being a part of the RHONJ crew, having been on the show since the very beginning. And we've also seen her do things like this, this, and this over the course of RHONJ's nine seasons so far.
However, Teresa and her OG status didn't scare Jackie one bit. "That doesn't matter to me at all. I actually feel like I'm in a stronger position being the new girl because nobody knows me and everything. Like I can come from whatever place I want to," Jackie told The Daily Dish about confronting Teresa this season during an interview in November. "So I really felt comfortable saying whatever I wanted to say and doing whatever I wanted to do. And I was not scared of anybody."
Jackie also said that her confidence comes from the fact that she believes she's always speaking the truth. "In terms of being nervous about going up against somebody, nothing like that scares me. I'm never nervous about anything like that," she said. "As long as I'm speaking what I think is the truth, and I really try hard not to offend anybody for no reason at all. I'm not gonna throw out statements just to upset somebody."
Jackie said that she stands by defending Melissa and her comments to Teresa during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Wednesday night. And she made quite the clutch-your-pearls kind of clap back. Check it out, below.
