Teresa Has Some Thoughts on Melissa and the RHONJ Season 13 Premiere: “We Are Not the Same”
After comparing what they’ve brought to The Real Housewives of New Jersey over the years, Teresa got a public response from Melissa.
Teresa Giudice wasn’t thrilled to hear what Melissa Gorga had to say about their falling-out during The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 premiere.
She revealed as much on the latest episode of her Namaste B$tches podcast, which dropped one day after the February 7 premiere. Get all the details on the drama below.
Melissa’s Text
On the podcast, Teresa specifically referenced the comments Melissa made during the premiere about her not returning a text message that Melissa had sent after the tumultuous Season 12 reunion in 2022. According to Melissa, she had told Teresa she was fine not being in her and Luis “Louie” Ruelas’ wedding, and that moving forward, everything was “all good.”
But as Melissa explained on the Season 13 premiere, because Teresa apparently never responded to said text, things remained tense between the ladies as well as Teresa and her brother, Joe Gorga.
Teresa’s Thoughts on the Text
Melissa and Joe’s conversation about the text is what Teresa took issue with on her recent podcast episode. “I gave birth on the show. I went to prison on the show. I got divorced on the show. I got married on the show. I buried my parents on the show,” she said. “This is what I’ve done, and her story is I didn’t return a text message? That’s her storyline? We are not the same. Never been, never will.”
Teresa went on to explain that she wasn’t even aware Melissa was upset about the unreturned text message. In fact, after initially reading it, she assumed they were “good.”
“She sent me that text message the night after we were taping 15 hours at the reunion… and I just had surgery. I was so exhausted. I was in pain sitting there all day,” Teresa recalled. “I read her text, I was like, ‘All right, good! Cool, we’re good.’”
“So to start the season off that way,” Teresa continued, “it was so crazy to me.”
Melissa’s Response
Following the release of the podcast, Melissa took to her Instagram Stories and shared a post from a fan account that accused Teresa of using the same “answer” when she’s feuding with people.
Melissa later issued a more direct response to the podcast, alleging in an Instagram Story that Teresa’s comments prove her point, which is that Teresa “did not reply to the text messages I sent after we filmed the reunion.”
Instead, Melissa said that Teresa replied “three weeks later” to “clean it up” after getting “backlash” from the reunion. “Her reaching out right at the same time we were about to start filming and finally wanting to discuss our relationship and how she can fix it was FAKE!” Melissa wrote. “That was inauthentic and was self-serving. We wanted off the roller coaster. Point blank.”
Melissa then encouraged RHONJ fans to simply “continue to watch this season,” as everything “will make much more sense” in the future.
