Is Gia Giudice Moving In with Her Boyfriend? Her Apartment Plan “Shocked” Teresa

“I was like, ‘What?'" Teresa admitted. "Because I feel like you should live on your own first and then go be with the guy.”

Count on Teresa Giudice to always have something simmering on The Real Housewives of New Jersey — and it’s not just red sauce.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey on Peacock and the Bravo app.

In this case, as seen on Season 14, Episode 7, she’s got thoughts stirring about her 23-year-old daughter Gia Giudice’s future with her entrepreneur boyfriend, Christian Carmichael.

“She told me she wanted to move out,” Teresa told her husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, as she cooked meatballs. “She’s thinking about getting her own apartment.”

“Moving in with Christian?” Louie asked.

“Yeah, I mean, I was a little shocked to hear it at first,” said Teresa, who just celebrated her birthday with Louie, Gia, and Christian. “I was like, ‘What?’ Because I feel like you should live on your own first and then go be with the guy.”

Are Gia Giudice and Christian moving in together?

Gia graduated from Rutgers University last year with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. She’s now preparing to go to law school.

In July 2020, she posted on Instagram that she and Christian were sharing “summer nights” together. That was no shock to Teresa, who was already following Christian on Instagram then.

Since then they’ve shared Valentine’s Days, traveled in Europe, and coordinated Halloween costumes. In fact, in March 2023, Gia called Christian “my person.”

And soon, possibly, he'll be her live-in person. As she prepared to give Gia a cooking lesson, Teresa reflected on the situation.

“I’m gonna teach her how to make sauce,” Teresa said. “Because she told me she wanted to move out. She’s thinking about getting her own apartment.”

Louie asked, “With Christian?”

“Yeah, I mean, I was a little shocked to hear it at first,” Teresa said. “I was like, ‘What?’ Because I feel like you should live on your own first and then go be with the guy.”

Teresa added that she hadn’t lived on her own before marrying Joe Giudice in 1999. (Their divorce was finalized in 2020.)

“The reason why I didn’t move out on my own before moving into Joe’s house was because I wasn’t allowed to,” Teresa shared in a confessional.

“Gia is an adult now. She can do whatever makes her happy,” Teresa added. “But I want  my kids to experience everything that I didn't get to experience.”

When Gia arrived, Louie caught her up on the conversation.

“We’re talking about Christian — and you guys moving in together,” he said.

Teresa let her daughter know that she supports her decisions.

“I mean, listen, I do think it's good to live with your boyfriend to see if that's the person you want to spend the rest of your life with," she stated.

“You'll learn a lot about someone when you live with them,” said Gia.

Louie had a question for Teresa: “Did you learn a lot about me when we moved in together?”

“Yeah, you were good,” she gushed.

“You were, too,” he said.

Teresa elaborated in a confessional.

“Louie and I did move in together before we got engaged,” Teresa told producers. “I loved everything about Louie. It just made me realize how compatible we really were."

Keep up with Teresa, her family, and the whole cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, airing Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
