Gia went on to express her gratitude for the time she shared with her grandfather, writing, “Thank you for being my rock and best friend throughout my entire life. I will think about you everyday, and you will forever be in my heart.”

She concluded the tribute by remembering her grandmother and Giacinto’s wife, Antonia Gorga, who passed away in 2017.   “Fly high my angel and give nonna a big hug for me as you celebrate life with her,” she wrote. “Take a shot of Johnnie Walker Blue for me I love you forever Nonno.”

Teresa and her brother, Joe Gorga, both shared the sad news of their father’s death on Instagram earlier on April 3. “Thank you for showing us all what true love is,” Teresa wrote In her own tribute.
