The Bachelor’s 10 Most Epic Destinations in History — Ranked

Prepare to be swept away.

The Bachelor has us at the edge of seats again, wishing we were on all these to-die-for dates abroad. (And can someone please explain why our Tinder dates don't end up on remote tropical islands nearly often enough?!) Indeed, the show's destinations over the past 20 seasons are almost more swoon-worthy than the contestants themselves... and definitely swankier than their hometowns.

As the current group of hopefuls takes televised flight this season — and Ben's final three land in Jamaica — we count down some of the most jealousy-inducing trips to date. These spots, as the contestants say, are just "incredible."

10. Switzerland

The Bachelor season 16’s Ben spent time between Alpine lakes and scenic mountains. A breath of fresh air along with romantic picnic lunches? We're sold.

9. New Zealand

The Bachelor season 13's Jason came to Queenstown for jaw-dropping views of the Southern Alps. Here, you can have private picnics along lakes, or outdoor dining at luxury lodges accompanied by the region's fine wines.

8. Croatia

The Bachelorette season 8’s Emily found strolling the stone-walled streets of Dubrovnik to be perfect. There's plenty of preserved history — plus Game of Thrones references — to be had here.

7. Vietnam

The Bachelor season 18’s Juan Pablo savored traditional meals in the countryside. This Southeast Asian country is an impeccable backdrop for adventures like rappelling in view of landmarks... and skinny dipping in the night.

6. St. Lucia

The Bachelor season 14’s Jake proposed romance in the richly green hillside on this intimate Caribbean island. You can check out reef diving or go chasing waterfalls in the rainforest in this storybook setting.

5. Thailand

The Bachelor season 17’s Sean let things get hot and heavy as he frolicked on monkey beach and went snorkeling. Let your love rise here, sending lanterns into the sky and riding elephants as a duo.

4. Indonesia

The Bachelor season 19’s Chris had a blast in magical Bali. While we can't promise a rose ceremony by an ancient temples, you'll probably see monkeys cross the road — and you'll for sure want to take in some of the world's most spectacular pools.

3. South Africa

The Bachelor season 15’s Brad fulfilled lifelong dream of going on a safari. You too can have drama in the wild and get your heart rate up while swimming with great white sharks off the Cape of Good Hope.

2. Fiji

This one, of course, is way up there: The Bachelorette season 7’s Ashley was surrounded by candlelight in the lush rainforest. We’d definitely come back for a honeymoon amid the turquoise waters of South Pacific like she did with her boo, too.

1. Tahiti

Call us partial to French Polynesia — we're happy to be guilty as charged. The Bachelorette season 6’s Ali made her final pick by thatched-roof bungalows in beautiful Bora Bora. Beaches and dramatic mountain peaks are the region's recognizable stunning features. And the destination's signature over-water bungalows? The stuff of dreams.
