There's a reason the handleless skateboards you've seen all over the Instagram accounts of celebrities are getting banned by cities across the globe: they're incredibly dangerous. Just ask LaMont Zeno of The People's Couch. The typically lively Coucher was in noticeable pain during last night's episode, thanks to a recent spin gone wrong. The Daily Dish reached out to find out more about his injury and — more importantly — what he's watching in his recovery.
How did you hurt your leg?
I tore my patella tendon in my knee! My wife was out of town, and my son was asleep. I decided to take his hoverboard for a spin, against my wife's warning and ended up in [an] emergency. Needless to say, you know my wife was upset and my son was mad that he didn't lock it up.
What’s the expected treatment and recovery like?
Right now I have to ice my knee and keep it in a knee immobilizer until I can get in with the orthopedic specialist. Hopefully no surgery, but either way I have to do physical therapy.
Who in the family has been most helpful during your recovery?
While my wife was out of town, my son became a superhero; he took very good care of me. Now that my wife is back she's the captain of this ship.
Would your family members say you’re a good patient?
Rashawn: No, because he doesn't listen when I tell him to sit down. He thinks his leg is OK!
Princella: Sometimes, [but] he still thinks that he's running things.
Name three celebs you’d want to sign your cast.
First, I would love for Michael Jackson to come down from heaven and sign it, but since that's not likely I would love for Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, and Travis Scott to sign it — because I love Stevie, my wife loves Janet, and my son loves Travis.
What TV shows will you be watching as you nurse yourself back to health?
I'll be watching The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Tamar & Vince, and WWHL.
