Brandi Redmond Gives an Update on Her Kids

Brandi Redmond's family just got a little bigger — and even more adorable (if that was even possible). The Real Housewives of Dallas mom and her husband, Bryan Redmond, adopted an infant son, Bruin Charles, this past winter, she revealed during a recent interview with PEOPLE.

The newest addition to the RHOD family is too cute, and we have the pics to prove it! The Daily Dish has some exclusive photos of Brandi and Bryan's bouncing baby boy, which you can check out, below. You'll see that Bruin is a "perfect fit" for the Redmond family, as Brandi put it to PEOPLE, not only because he has a name that begins with "Br," just like his parents and sisters Brooklyn, 9, and Brinkley, 6, but he also has strawberry blonde hair, just like this family of redheads. “It’s crazy,” Brandi told PEOPLE. “He’ll always look like he came from me, which he did — he came from my heart.”

Bruin was born prematurely on December 31, weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces and measuring 18 inches long. Brandi and Bryan adopted Bruin via a closed adoption after his biological parents awarded him to the state of Texas at birth.

Just months before that, Brandi and Bryan had decided to stop trying for a baby as the RHOD mom experienced fertility issues and suffered a miscarriage, which fans saw her open up about last season.

But then at the beginning of 2018, Brandi got a call from a friend connected to a social worker who told the family about Bruin. “It happened pretty much overnight,” Brandi told PEOPLE. “He was in the neonatal intensive care unit because he was born prematurely, so we flew out of Dallas — he was still in Texas —and we met him in the hospital. We just immediately fell in love.”

Brandi told PEOPLE that she now feels like her family is “one hundred and ten percent complete.” “His biological parents, I just think they were so brave to make the best decision for him. I’m very honored and excited that he’s a part of our family now,” she said. “He’s our miracle baby. Things happen for a reason and God gives you exactly what you can handle. This was just meant to be.”

Following the announcement of Bruin's adoption, Brandi expressed her gratitude for her family and friends and all of their support during this journey in a post on Instagram. "Emotional to say the least...We are one blessed beyond family," Brandi gushed on Instagram. "Love my family & friends for all your support. Thank you to all."
