Does Karen Huger Regret Her "Press Conference with No Press"?
The Real Housewives of Potomac came together to get some answers about Ray Huger's tax issues.
It seemed as though Karen Huger's so-called "press conference with no press" didn't exactly go as planned for any of The Real Housewives of Potomac during Sunday night's episode (clip above). Karen appeared to not get the support she desired from her friends, and they didn't seem to be getting the answers they were looking for to their burning questions about her husband Ray Huger's tax situation from the grand dame.
But now looking back on the tense meeting, Karen seems to be satisfied with how it all went down. "The press conference with no press was a huge success. Now I see each and [every one] of these ladies for who they truly are," Karen shared on Twitter Monday morning. "On to [bigger] and better things. Life is too short."
Gizelle Bryant also remarked on Twitter that she wishes Karen would "let me be your FRIEND." Karen responded to Gizelle, "Only when you learn how to be one."
One person that Karen felt sorry about putting through all that drama was her friend Matt who accompanied her to the "press conference with no press." "Actually I apologized to Matt during that conversation," she tweeted to one fan Monday. "I was attempting to make a point with the ladies. My bad."
This season of RHOP kicked off amid the fallout from a July 2017 report by The Washington Post that revealed that Ray owes nearly $1.5 million in back-due federal taxes, and his company owes more than $3 million. Karen told The Daily Dish earlier this month that she "expected more support than attack" from her fellow Potomac Housewives as she and her family went through this ordeal, and she was "disappointed in them" at the time.
Karen also shared an update on her husband's tax issues with The Daily Dish. "He has settled, and they have a deal, and they're good. So we're in a great place, and I'm grateful. I'm grateful that Ray's my hubby. I'm grateful that my kids are my kids. And I'm grateful that I still have great health to enjoy this life," she said. "I just rebirthed, so it's just a great place to be in. Long time getting here, though. But it's in the rearview mirror now!"
We'll see the intense conclusion to "press conference with no press" in an all-new episode of RHOP Sunday at 10/9c. Check out a preview, below.
