Season 2 of This Is Us will feature some familiar faces, including Milo Ventimiglia's Rocky Balboa co-star Sylvester Stallone.

Stallone, who called Ventimiglia his "good buddy" on Instagram, will actually be appearing on the series with another of its stars, Justin Hartley, who plays actor Kevin.

Stallone and Hartley appear together on This Is Us in a storyline set in the Ron Howard-directed vehicle that was bestowed on Kevin in the Season 1 finale. Though the show is known for storylines that take place in different eras, Ventimiglia's character Jack, who is Kevin's father, is already known to be deceased by the time Kevin is a working adult, which would make it impossible to appear onscreen with Sly as anything other than a ghost.

He also made friends with Chrissy Metz, although from the looks of things, that relationship may have already gone south.

This Is Us premieres on September 20.
