Sex. “Netflix and chill” means sex.
With that point clarified, you should know that now there’s a pied a terre available in New York dedicated just for that purpose. The “Netflix & Chill Airbnb Room” is both a real listing on the booking site, as well as a project presented by Tom Galle in partnership with New York-based art company ART404.
First and foremost, the $400-per-night apartment has a bed outfitted in Netflix-printed linens. And then of course, there’s a fully stocked mini bar with champagne, wine, booze, and mixers for social lubrication. There’s also an HD projector connected with the new AppleTV and a Netflix account, with remote controllers for both. Surround sound speakers encircle the bed.
If you don’t plan to have the curtains drawn the whole time, the pad offers beautiful city views. And if you ever open the front door, the listing comes with access to a rooftop with additional skyline views. The apartment is well located in the West Village, so you have plenty of options for ordering food in — to eliminate the pesky distraction of having to chit chat over a proper seated meal.
Because just to reiterate why you’d want to rent such an apartment: “Netflix and chill” means sex.
