Throwback Thursday: Kyle Richards in Her '80s Prime
The RHOBH star rocks feathered hair while memorizing her lines.
Ever wonder what our Bravolebs looked like before they were Bravolebs? Each Thursday, we'll celebrate #TBT and dig through the archives for a vintage photo from the past—or revisit a memorable moment from one of our shows—and share some back story on the picture. This week, we re-visit a childhood photo of Kyle Richards.
Though her sister Kim Richards is often thought of as the famed child star, Kyle Richards also spent a good portion of her youth in Hollywood’s limelight. In this retro #TBT photo, Kyle studiously rehearses lines while a hair stylist works on her lengthy mane.
Years before this picture was taken, Kyle had an iconic turn on the big screen with a role in John Carpenter’s original 1978 horror classic, Halloween. “Of all the movies and TV shows I’ve done, that’s probably the movie that people mention the most to me. It has such a following, it’s unbelievable,” Kyle said in a recent interview.
Shot on an extremely low budget, Halloween went on to become a worldwide hit and one the most successful independent films of all time. “I was so young, I couldn’t appreciate exactly what the film was. Now when you look at all of the horror films that have been made, and you compare them to that film, it really is unbelievable. It’s timeless,” she says.
