'Top Chef Just Desserts' Winner Reveals Future Plans

Yigit Pura talks shop after winning $110,000.

By Lauren Metz

$110,000 -- that's a lot of cupcakes. Top Chef Just Desserts' first ever winner Yigit Pura spills to SF Weekly that he's planning to use his prize dough to "open a high-end concept dessert shop in San Francisco."

Sounds scrumptious. In the meantime, the executive pastry chef is letting San Francisco locals know his favorite spots to satisfy an intense sugar craving. Take notes.

"I have such a sweet tooth -- my friends often make fun of me. I really like ice cream, and Mr. and Mrs. Miscellaneous on Third is so creamy and fresh. It's made every day. Also, my friend's chocolate-dipped graham crackers. Kika's Treats sold at Bi-Rite, Dean and Deluca, and more. All I need is that and a glass of milk. Nothing wrong with that." (For more suggestions from Yigit and other Bravolebrities, check us out on foursquare.)

As for his not-so-sweet talking competitor Morgan Wilson, Yigit's taking the high road. "We were all under stress and people were different -- no one in particular. I called Zac (Young) 'Zaction' because he was always on the go and moving," Yigit says. "One disappointing thing was watching the show and seeing how many ill remarks Morgan made about other contestants. I had a sense of that but it was different watching it all."

Now if Morgan was a dessert, Yigit tells Out.com this guy "would have to be a very complex and angry dessert, so... let me get back to you on that one."
