She's Back! Tyra Banks Set to Return to America's Next Top Model
“I’m overwhelmed and humbled," the model said about the new... old... gig.
Tyra Banks is ready to go home again. The supermodel, who also serves as co-creator and executive producer on America's Next Top Model, has announced that she'll step back into hosting the series for its next cycle. She'll be replacing current judge, British pop singer Rita Ora. Remaining panelists for the upcoming cycle will be announced at a later date.
"I’m overwhelmed and humbled by the intensity of the ANTM fan base whose deep affection for the show led me to have a change of heart," Tyra said in a statement, via VH1. "After giving it a lot of thought, I realized that remaining behind the camera wasn’t enough because ANTM is woven into my DNA."
Tyra did shout out Rita, who teased she has new music on the horizon, for filling in for her during her break from the show.
This is the latest high-profile hosting gig for Tyra, who is set to replace Nick Cannon on America's Got Talent after he quit the series back in February, according to Deadline. And it looks like she's already feeling the love from her predecessor.
