Ariana Madix Reveals a “Common Misconception” About Having Kids with Tom Sandoval
The Vanderpump Rules couple opens up about their thoughts to start a family at the Season 9 reunion.
There’s no denying that the Vanderpump Rules Season 9 reunion kicked off with more than a few juicy confessions and jaw-dropping moments as the cast members revisited the drama-filled season during Part 1 of the two-part reunion with host Andy Cohen. And one such moment came from none other than Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix, who opened up about their current stance on a family.
The subject came up after Andy addressed Ariana’s decision to freeze her eggs, which she had revealed in the November 16 episode. "Surprise! I froze my eggs," Ariana previously confirmed in an interview during the episode, adding, "Me and Scheana [Shay] were actually going together to freeze our eggs, and then she got pregnant."
Ariana went on to explain during the reunion why she decided to move forward with freezing her eggs, after previously being vocal about not wanting to have kids, telling Andy, “I did it because they’re there. Why not get them out, why not get them frozen? If I die, they all go to Tom [Sandoval].”
Though Sandoval has been more than supportive of his BFF Tom Schwartz’s decision to start a family with Katie Maloney-Schwartz this season, Ariana shared her insight into her boyfriend's feelings about wanting to become a dad himself.
“I want people to understand something,” she said during the Season 9 sit-down. “Tom [Sandoval] does not have this insane desire to be a dad and have kids. It’s a very common misconception. He says it all the time: ‘No, I don’t want one.’”
Sandoval later offered a surprising response, insisting that he was, in fact, open to the idea. “Look, at a certain point, the idea of possibly have a kid, like, I’m into that," he said, adding, "I think where we butted heads before was when Ariana said never, and I don’t want to be told never.”
