Vicki Gunvalson: Why I'm Selling My Home
Exclusive: the OG of the OC says she's found a new property—get details.
Is the OG of the OC about to move on from the neighborhood? Earlier this month, Vicki Gunvalson revealed that she was putting her palatial Coto de Caza, California pad on the market—and now she's speaking out about her decision to move.
"I'm just ready for a change," she tells the Dish. "My whole theory is that when life changes, you have to change everything."
In fact, Vicki says she's already found on a new home. But OC fans need not fear: she's not leaving her beloved Southern California region. "Oh you betcha I'm never leaving the OC," she says.
As for details on the new property she's found, Vicki says it has a 180-degree ocean view and rests on top of a hill. "It's in Dana Point," she says. "It's gorgeous."
It's been a busy few weeks for Vicki. After launching her new venture Diamonds by Vicki, she's now embarking on a promotional tour for her new book, Let's Talk Money, with co-author Dennis Postema. "It's about planning for retirement and income planning for women," she says. "Everything's been going great so far!"
Vicki gave Bravotv.com a tour of her home after she recently redecorated it in a "California Mediterranean" style. In the clip (below), Vicki shows off her house's inviting foyer, brand new fireplace, renovated kitchen, and custom lighting. A particular highlight is the hand-painted murals on her dining room walls, which she hopes will remain after she moves out. "When I sell this house, whenever that may be, I hope no one paints over it, because just to me it's a work of art," she says.
