Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie Reunite for Paris & Nicole: The Encore Special (DETAILS)
Reality TV pioneers Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are back for more! Here's everything you need to know about the Peacock special.
No, you are not having déja vu — Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie really are back on TV together in Peacock's Paris & Nicole: The Encore!
The iconic duo rose to fame after appearing in the early 2000s reality television series The Simple Life. The show followed the two teenagers, both from famous families, as they journeyed off the grid to see if they could handle a “normal” lifestyle, which included taking on tasks like working at a daycare and being camp counselors.
After five entertaining seasons, the series ultimately ended in 2007, and the duo haven’t been back together onscreen... until now.
Now, more than 20 years later, the O.G. reality stars are reuniting for the special, Paris & Nicole: The Encore, coming to Peacock this December. Keep reading to find out what you can expect from the special.
How many episodes of Paris & Nicole: The Encore are there?
The limited series will be split into three episodes, each spotlighting their decades-long friendship that is still going strong.
The only word that can be used to describe the hilarious, entertaining moments ahead is sanasa (if you know, you know).
When does Paris & Nicole: The Encore premiere?
All three episodes of Paris & Nicole: The Encore will premiere December 12, only on Peacock (and you can get access to the streaming service right here).
In the meantime, Peacock is also home to Paris Hilton’s reality TV series Paris in Love, which takes fans inside her marriage and her motherhood journey. Seasons 1 and 2 are available now.
If you want yet another show to add to your watchlist, Paris' mother, Kathy Hilton, and her aunt Kyle Richards will be starring in Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo and streaming the next day on Peacock.
What’s Paris & Nicole: The Encore about?
For Paris & Nicole: The Encore, the celebrity duo are going back in time to their Simple Life days — with an added twist.
The teaser trailer for the upcoming special revealed an operatic production based on their infamous sanasa phrase. This new series will take viewers into the entire process leading up to the performance, which you don't want to miss out on.
When not working on the opera, Paris and Nicole are going back to their old stomping grounds in Altus, Arkansas, where it all began, and will reunite with their host family from Season 1 of the 2000s series, Hilton revealed in an interview for NYLON magazine.
After reconnecting with their Arkansas family, the two will be heading to Southern California and reliving their previous challenge of trying out ordinary tasks.
This means that they will be putting their Sonic uniforms back on and testing out their food service skills once more.
Paris shared a sneak-peek of their fast-food experience on social media, which showed the two managing a real Sonic location’s drive-thru.
“Sliving at Sonic,” Hilton wrote in her Threads post. “20 years later and @nicolerichie and I are back at our favorite job.”
All in all, the upcoming series is the perfect nod to the nostalgic series.
“It was such an important part of pop-culture history and has really shaped this industry in so many ways and inspired so many others,” Hilton said to NYLON. “And now we’re coming back to celebrate this again.”
