WATCH: The Ultimate Guide to a 'RHONJ' Sit-Down
Prepare yourself for the Rosie and Teresa showdown with these sit-down tips.
If there’s one thing The Real Housewives of New Jersey ladies know how to do, it’s sit down and talk about their issues over a table. And yes, sometimes that table gets flung and someone gets called a "prostitution whore". But hey, if it ain’t broke...
With the upcoming sit down between Rosie Pierri and Teresa Giudice, we wanted to make sure these ladies--and you--know exactly what it takes to have a successful, meaningful, and rehabilitative sit down. (OK, maybe the rehabilitative part will never happen.) Here are a few classic RHONJ moments that embody the art of the sit-down:
No. 1 - Dina Manzo and Danielle Staub
What we learned: Whatever you do, do not shush anyone. Oh, and don’t call Danielle crazy. EVER.
No. 2 - Caroline Manzo and Danielle Staub
What we learned: Come prepared. Make sure you have an example of when your dinner partner attacked you in the past. It makes the conversation flow so much more easily.
No. 3 - Joe Gorga and Teresa Giudice
What we learned: Read up on the proper book signing invitation etiquette. In an argument, starting off phrases with, “if my wife was the biggest whore on the street…” is a great way to get your point across.
No. 4 - Teresa and Melissa Gorga
What we learned: Maybe don’t roll your eyes when someone talks about their parents. Also, cookies surprisingly can’t solve all problems.
No. 5 - Caroline and Teresa
What we learned: Matching helps. How can you stay mad at someone who shares your love of teal? And try to have the sit down at a neutral place, like the wonderful Ho-Ho-Kus Inn and Tavern. We can only imagine how many Housewife dramas have played out there since 1790.
Now that you're educated on the finer points of a New Jersey sit-down, tune in this Sunday at 8/7c to find out if RHONJ history repeats itself when Rosie and Teresa face off cousin-to-cousin.
