Wendy Williams' Worst Interview

For talk show host Wendy Williams, taking a day off is a foreign concept. So, the fact that the television personality canceled tapings of The Wendy Williams Show from February 14 through 16 came as a surprise to some fans — and to Williams herself.

To update her followers, Williams shared a confessional-style Instagram post on Valentine's Day. Wearing a bejeweled turban, a pink robe, and lots of bling, the host got real about the health concerns that caused the cancellations.

"It's not the flu yet, but I feel flu-ish," she said, while sipping what appeared to be orange juice. The sickness, Williams assured fans, is "not a five, on a scale of one to five — it's not even a four."

The entertainment pro was headed to the doctor that very day, to find out exactly what was making her feel under the weather. Still, she'd rather have been on set. "I feel awful," she confessed. "I had to be talked out of going to work today, and taking off a few days to get myself together. I'm a thoroughbred. I have not taken off since we started the show."

This isn't the first time in recent months that Williams has had a health scare. During her show's Halloween taping, the host fainted on air. Williams later explained that she had overheated in the Statue of Liberty Costume she had on that day, but that her health was otherwise fine.

We hope Williams gets all the rest she needs. And, we give her major props for her sparkling sick day attire. We had a feeling she wasn't the type to wear sweatpants.
