One of Kyle Richards' Dinner Party Guests Breaks Down That Moment with Denise Richards' Husband
Here's what was most surprising about the RHOBH dinner party, according to Justin Sylvester.
Somehow, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave crying after being called "boring" by Sutton Stracke wasn't the most awkward thing to happen at Kyle Richards' latest dinner party on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Following the ladies' tense moment, it appeared as though Kyle hoped to give the group a little palate cleanser when she asked Denise Richards' husband, Aaron Phypers, about what he does for a living (clip above). As Aaron went into detail about his work in frequency medicine, the dinner party attendees appeared to have a hard time following.
We wish we could have been a fly on the wall during this soirée for many reasons, but especially so we could better understand what exactly was going on in this moment. Luckily, The Daily Dish podcast co-host Erik J. Mac caught up with one of the dinner party guests, E!'s Daily Pop co-host Justin Sylvester, during an Instagram Live chat after the episode to find out what it was really like to be seated at the table when all of this was going down.
Justin, who recently noted to E! News that the moment was "awkward," said that everybody's reactions to what Aaron was saying reminded him of that math equation meme, which Kyle also tweeted a version featuring Lisa Rinna to describe it.
Part of the haziness among the guests was due to the fact that Kyle and her husband, Mauricio Umansky, don't waste any time in getting the party going when they have people over to their house, according to Justin. "You are lit from the moment you walk in there because this is no dinner party, like you walk in and you chill. Like, there's tequila, there's shots, there's Fireball. You actually want to see people there. That's the jam. You actually want to be around those people," Justin explained. "So you're having a good time, and you're letting loose. I think a lot of people were just drunk and trying to figure out what he was saying."
Justin said that he was surprised how candid Aaron was about his work, given the fact that Denise mentioned during the episode that they've been "followed" because of it. "I will say, I had a conversation with him previously at other times when he talked about what he did, and I knew that his job was a little unconventional," Justin said. "It's serious. It's a serious situation."
He added that Denise must really love Aaron to stay by his side even through all of the challenges his work has brought into their lives.
