What Rachel Zoe Learned From Cameron Diaz
Stylist shares lessons from Cam, Anne, Kate and more.
Styling celebrity clients has turned into a give-and-take relationship for Rachel Zoe. She secures "I die!" fashions for them, and in turn, they unknowingly serve as her muses.
"From someone like Anne Hathaway, I learn a lot about culture and music and arts because she is such a culture rat; she makes me want to go to the theater and read more books," the Rachel Zoe Project star reveals to Hamptons Magazine.
At heart, Rachel's an obsessed fashion junkie (and yes, workaholic), so she relies on client and pal Kate Hudson to offset that type-A mentality. "She really inspires me to be much more free-spirited and not so planned and controlling," RZ says.
Continuing to drop names from her A-list rolodex, Skyler's mama calls Cameron Diaz "effortlessly cool and very confident in who she is." But when it comes to life in Mommywood, Rachel appoints Jennifer Garner as her role model. "I think the best lesson I have learned from her is how to balance both jobs — as a mother and as someone working in Hollywood — and how to really keep your priorities straight. She is an extraordinary, very grounded person who exemplifies how to be a working mother."
Watch Rachel balance her newborn, growing empire, and award show drama when The Rachel Zoe Project returns on September 6.
