Here's What Surprised The Real Housewives of New York City About Newest 'Wife Leah McSweeney
Countess Luann de Lesseps spills all about Leah McSweeney.
Leah McSweeney seems to be fitting in quite nicely with The Real Housewives of New York City a cast after it was confirmed last November at BravoCon that she was joining the Big Apple squad for Season 12.
"She's quite a little number. I really like her. She's really good," Dorinda Medley explained at the time in an interview with BravoTV.com.
And now Luann de Lesseps is offering up some more info about the Married to the Mob clothing brand founder — and what it was about her that may have thrown some of the ladies off.
“Leah has some tats, so the Housewives, you can imagine Ramona [Singer] and Dorinda’s response to her, which was, ‘Um, really, tats? We don’t talk to people who have tats,’” Luann said on Michelle Collins' SiriusXM show in between stops on her #CountessandFriends cabaret tour this week. “She has a lot of them.”
In addition to her fashion mogul career, Leah has expanded her personal brand to include work as a columnist for Penthouse magazine, among other ventures. And yes, the clothing entrepreneur and mom may look familiar to some Bravo fans, having previously appeared on an episode of The Millionaire Matchmaker a decade ago in 2010.
Leah is also a mom. “She has a daughter,” Luann noted, adding, “She is very close to the father of her daughter.”
Previously, at BravoCon's wild and unforgettable WWHL taping where Leah was announced (clip above), she called her fellow RHONY 'Wives "very badass.”
So, how would Lu sum her up? “She’s gorgeous, she’s really beautiful. And what I like about her is she is somebody who is self-made and vulnerable at the same time,” she said on SiriusXM this week. “So I think people can relate to her.”
