'Wives on 'Wives: #RHOP on "Diva" Karen Huger

When The Real Housewives of Potomac premieres Sunday, January 17 at 9/8c, we'll get an inside look at this exclusive and affluent Maryland community. And one of the ladies who holds the keys to this prestigious social circle? Karen Huger.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Potomac on Bravo on Sunday, October 6 at 8/7c and next day on  Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app

"In Potomac, you must conduct yourself with proper etiquette," Karen says in the RHOP supertease. So think of Karen as the Countess Luann de Lesseps of Potomac. And as Luann has taught us so well, money can't buy you class. However, it can buy you a fabulous life, and it looks like Karen has spent her money wisely.

1. Her Husband is a Boss

"Not every woman can marry a powerfully successful man because you can't deal with the life that comes with it," Karen says in the RHOP supertease, above. Since Karen has been married for 19 years to Raymond Huger, the president and CEO of the information technology company Paradigm Solutions International, it sure sounds like she can handle the pressure. Before taking on this powerful position, Raymond spent 25 years at IBM. He was also named one of the top entrepreneurs of 2005 by US Black Engineer & Information Technology magazine. Raymond is definitely an impressive leader, but on RHOP, it looks like Karen will be able to handle her own business.

2. She's About to Be an Empty Nester

It's a good thing Karen's relationship with her husband is still strong after all these years since it's about to be just the two of them. Karen's 27-year-old son Brandon has already moved out of the house, and her 17-year-old daughter Rayvin is about to do the same as she gets ready to head off to college. But no matter how far away her children are, it looks like Karen will always be a #ProudMom.

3. She's a Country Girl at Heart

Before living the glamorous life in Potomac, Karen was learning the meaning of hard work while growing up on her family farm. Karen is originally from Spring Grove, Virginia, according to her Facebook profile. After attending the University of Virginia, Karen started a new life for herself, and what a life it is.

4. She's a Social Butterfly

Karen's husband isn't the only one in the family who understands the importance of networking. This RHOP 'wife makes it her business to see and be seen around town, whether it's getting to know her fellow Washington, D.C.-area movers and shakers, supporting a charity, or having a night out on the town with her fellow RHOP 'wives. If only the good vibes between them could last.

5. She's a Party Animal

Karen is known in Potomac for going all out for her parties. If the above pic of Karen's crazy-detailed Halloween decorations from this year are any indication of just how over-the-top she gets, then we are in for one wild run this season of RHOP.
