Bronwyn Reveals the Real Reason She Skipped the Post-Reunion Dinner with Her Castmates
RHOSLC newbie Bronwyn Newport also revealed the unseen receipts she brought to the reunion stage.
Things were chilly for the snowflake holders during The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 reunion, but most of the cast got together for a post-taping dinner in New York City — sans Bronwyn Newport.
Sharing why she didn't join the cast — which includes Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Angie Katsanevas, Whitney Rose, Mary Cosby, and friend Britani Bateman — on the January 22 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Bronwyn had a simple explanation.
"Oh, so much has been made out of that," she said. "I heard from them after I was back in pajamas and recouping. And I hope they had fun. Yeah, no weirdness."
The revelation that Bronwyn missed out on the dinner came when Whitney appeared on the January 8 episode of WWHL. When asked who hung out after the reunion taped in New York City on December 5, Whitney revealed, "Everyone but Bronwyn."
Host Andy Cohen was surprised by Whitney's answer, but she soon clarified, "And Mary didn't come. Lisa and Meredith joined us later."
"That's very telling, right?" Whitney asked fellow guest Dorinda Medley, who agreed.
"Very telling," The Real Housewives of New York City alum responded.
Bronwyn Newport reflects on her first RHOSLC reunion
After a first season filled with highs, like wearing a hot dog outfit and surprising husband Todd Bradley at the airport, and lows, like feuding with one-time pal Lisa, Bronwyn had the chance to chat about it all on the reunion stage.
When asked if there was anything she wished she had brought up during the reunion, Bronwyn shared something surprising.
"I brought my own receipts that I didn't show. I don't know always that we need to," she said. "Then you start to go down this path of, 'I'm wrong and you're right,' and then there's no resolution."
Andy wondered what Bronwyn's receipts were about.
"I had my own stuff about the jeweler. I had my own stuff about my daughter's family," she explained. "I just think I'm really in a place of, like, 'All I can control is how I respond to things, not react.' I'm big on not reacting at this point in my life, and when everybody else was feeling like they were reacting a lot, I didn't think the receipts helped."
"I love it that you edited yourself," Andy said. "I love it!"
"I don't need a safe word!" Bronwyn replied, referring to the "besos" and "opa" safe words utilized during the three-part reunion. "I don't need a safe word!"
