RHOSLC's Meredith Marks Reveals Why She Wouldn't Let Husband Seth See Her Phone

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City couple has "different points of view" on the matter.

As Meredith Marks and her husband, Seth Marks, discussed their separation while out to dinner earlier this season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, the topic of transparency came up. "I'm so transparent, it's crazy," Seth told Meredith.

How to Watch

Seth then said that Meredith could even read his phone, which she declined. "No, it has nothing to do with 'read my phone,'" Meredith said. "That's not transparency."

So, when Seth said that Meredith "would never hand me your phone," she clarified, "Because I think that's wrong," noting that the person to whom the messages were sent should be the only one to see them.

When Meredith appeared on the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show on December 9, one fan wanted to know if Seth was "insinuating that you were hiding something" when he brought up not being able to look at her phone (clip above).

"I don't think that Seth was insinuating that I was hiding anything. I think it's more that he feels that's an easy way to sort of communicate with each other. He always says, 'Oh, read my phone, and you know everything that's happened in my day,'" Meredith explained during the WWHL After Show. "My feelings are when someone texts me, it's meant for me and not for someone else. We just have different points of view."

WWHL host Andy Cohen agreed with Meredith's stance. "All right, I'm with you, by the way," he told the Salt Lake City Housewife.

Earlier on WWHL, Meredith opened up about the emotional experience of sharing her separation on RHOSLC. "Honestly, I cried watching that. It was really sad to see, and stepping out and being able to reflect back is very strange and unusual," she said. "But when I made this choice, I knew I had to disclose what was happening. It took me some time to gain the courage to do it. And I do think that having talked with some of the ladies earlier on, it may have been a lot easier on me if I had done that. I do."
