Meet Winter House's Rachel Clark, the Florist Who "Can't Keep Plants Alive"

In a Winter House first look, florist Rachel Clark admits that she can't keep her own plants alive.

By Shannon Raphael

The Winter House cast members are constantly surrounded by snow and ice as they spend a vacation in Vermont, but Season 2 addition Rachel Clark brought some life and some greenery to the Stowe ski house on the first day thanks to her floral arrangements.

How to Watch

Watch Winter House on Peacock and the Bravo app.

The newbie works in New York City as the owner and solo florist at Dearest Rachel — and her job is the reason why she got to know Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula in the first place.

When the Summer House cast members were planning their September 2021 wedding during Season 6, their original florist canceled on them last minute. Rachel managed to save the day by offering her floral arrangement services, and she quickly hit it off with the bride (and with Paige DeSorbo, who told Rachel she was "obsessed with her" on the October 14 Winter House premiere).

Though Rachel has an eye for flower design, she doesn't exactly have a green thumb outside of work.

In a Winter House First Look for the October 21 episode (which you can check out above), Rachel tells fellow cast member, Kory Keefer, that she "can't keep plants alive."

First, she tells the gym owner that the reason why she's always the first one up at the Stowe house is because she's used to being awake early for her job.

"The flower markets open at like 6 A.M.," Rachel tells Kory. "Things run out, so you have to get there early to get the best product."

Kory asks if Rachel's home is "just decorated with flowers," the florist makes a surprising admission.

"You would think so, but no," Rachel replies. "I can't keep plants alive."

Earlier on in the clip, Rachel shares that it's hard for her to be on vacation because she's used to always "being busy."

"I don't know what it's like to have a proper vacation," she says in an interview. "I am the only person that runs my business. I'm used to being busy, otherwise I get restless. My internal clock just wakes me up at 5 A.M. Even if I'm hungover and dying, I'm just awake, alert, and dying. It's the worst!"

Rachel has already shown that she's an early riser, but the same can't be said for most of the other Winter House cast members.

Watch Winter House on Bravo Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.
