These Top Female Leaders Just Paid Tribute to Fearless Girls Everywhere
To help honor the "significant impact and growing influence women have on the future of business and society."
As National Women's History Month continues to highlight the achievements of women, top female leaders in the business world are doing their part to celebrate girl power.
Linda Yaccarino, Chairman of Advertising Sales & Client Partnerships at NBCUniversal, and the other women on ascena retail group, inc.’s Board of Directors — Kate Buggeln (Senior Advisor, Irving Place Capital), Katie Bayne (Senior Vice President, Global Sparkling Brands, The Coca-Cola Company), and Kay Krill (former President and CEO of ANN INC.) — stood up for female empowerment by posing with the “Fearless Girl," a bronze sculpture of a defiant girl by Kristen Visbal, installed on the Bowling Green in New York's Lower Manhattan.

The gathering took place following ascena retail group inc.’s quarterly Board Meeting on Thursday. As it turns out, four of the eight ascena Board Members are women.
“Today, we are proud to stand in solidarity with each other and with the 'Fearless Girl' to honor the significant impact and growing influence women have on the future of business and society,” Kay Krill said in a statement on behalf of her colleagues on the ascena Board of Directors. “As female leaders, we believe boards need to make meaningful progress in gender equality NOW for the next generation of women as well as for economic success.”
