Top Chef Season 15 Contestants Remember Anthony Bourdain

Anthony Bourdain's right-hand writer is putting together an official biography on the late chef and Parts Unknown host. Laurie Woolever, who was Anthony's assistant and collaborator on his stunning Appetites cookbook in 2016, plans to honor his legacy with Bourdain: The Oral Biography, due out on Ecco Books in fall 2019.

“After working with and collaborating with Tony since 2004, I’m honored to now be working with his estate, and talking to the people who knew him best, in order to share the story of a life that influenced so many people, in so many ways, all across the globe.," Laurie told Eater.

His friends and family are also finding their own ways to memorialize Anthony Bourdain. His mother, for example, an avowed loather of tattoos, is now getting inked up.

Others, like Chef David Chang, are honoring the late chef by getting candid about their own struggles with depression, in order to destigmatize the conversation and help others in need.
