You Need to See the Kardashian Kids' Epic Rainbow Birthday Cake (With a Surprise Inside!)

When you're a child in the Kardashian party, your celebrations are super-sized — fantasy environments come to real life. Cousins North West and Penelope Disick, who have an annual tradition of joint birthday parties, just celebrated with an over-the-top unicorn-theme birthday party that included "real" unicorns (dressed-up ponies), larger-than-life rainbow pool floats, and a dessert spread that dreams are made of.

The sweets table included the likes of unicorn-shaped cake pops in sugar cones, unicorn rice krispie treats, and pastel-colored donuts and candies. 

It also included a pair of small but sweet unicorn round cakes, presumably one for each kid.

But did you think "understated" could be the final word in Kardashian birthday cakes? Hardly.

Both mamas shared on their Instagram Stories a pic of an over-the-top cake. They tagged the bakery Flour Shop, which bills itself as "home of the rainbow cake." That's an incredible icing and sprinkles-covered confection done in rainbow-colored tiers... with a center core of sprinkles and chocolate candies.

Even Padma Lakshmi of Bravo's Top Chef — who does not approve of the unicorn/rainbow food trend for grownups — could get behind this fun kiddo confection.
