Here's the Exact Menu Served at Meghan Markle's First Palace Lunch (Harry Couldn't Help Himself)
The Duchess of Sussex hosted a party for her new charity cookbook — and her prince lost his royal manners.
Meghan Markle surprised the world this week when it was announced that she penned the foreword to a new charitable cookbook called Together: Our Community Cookbook (out September 25), which benefits the Hubb Community Kitchen, formed in the wake of last year's deadly Grenfell Tower fire in London.
The Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and her mother Doria Ragland brought together contributors to celebrate the imminent release of the book at Kensington Palace on Thursday with a lunch featuring some of the recipes inside. What was served? A spread of international dishes, including Indian samosas and coconut chicken curry, Ugandan eggplant Masala, Middle Eastern kofta (meat kebabs) and a caramelized plum upside down cake from Algeria.
“I felt, on a personal level, so proud to live in a city that can have so much diversity. That there are 12 countries represented in this one small room is pretty outstanding," she told her guests.
The food was such a success that her husband Prince Harry was caught playfully hiding samosas behind his back during the event. The cuteness — especially surrounding their shared love of food — never seems to end for this royal couple.
