Popeyes Debuts "Emotional Support Chicken" to Combat Your Hangry Holiday Travel Rage
This bird is "permitted to fly without restriction."
Remember that one time a woman wanted to bring an "emotional support peacock" on an airplane? Unfortunately, the beautifully plumed bird didn't make it past the TSA — but this bird will: Popeyes has officially launched its own version of a stress-minimizing bird by dropping a meal kit dubbed "Emotional Support Chicken."
The cheeky meal is available at the Philadelphia Airport. Packaged in a rather cute, chicken-shaped box, the meal contains three chicken tenders, a biscuit, and a side. But, the food is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the things this takeout box can offer.
On the box, there's a message that reads: "This chicken provides comfort and nourishment during stressful air travel. Unlike other chicken, it is marinated in real Louisiana spices for 12 hours and must be permitted to fly without restriction. Do not leave unattended, as Popeyes is not responsible for lost or stolen chicken.”
Indeed, who would want to lose this?
Fly safely — and with plenty of well-seasoned support — this season, friends!
