Rob Lowe may crave adventure when it comes to reality TV — but not when it comes to natural disasters such as the Thomas wildfire that has ripped through his neck of the woods in Santa Barbara and Ventura County, California. The television heartthrob, who lives in Montecito (which Oprah Winfrey also calls home) invited a whole crew of firefighters into his house for dinner on Sunday night as a gesture of thanks for their unrelenting hard work saving homes and lives.

Dinner for new friends at our house.

On the menu: gooey cheeseburgers, plenty of spaghetti, salad, and more. And that setting looked like a pretty good place to be invited to dinner, we might add.

Rob spent the earlier part of the day pitching in to help the crew.

Helping earlier today. You do what you can, but when it’s time.. you GO.

Best wishes for a safe and speedy containment of the Thomas fire and the other fires that are ravaging California.
