Apollo's Immature Behavior

Kenya's is tired of hearing Apollo's accusations.

By Kenya Moore

SLICK OUT OF SLICK

Slick husbands, slick mothers, slick children, and slick friends… This episode is full of people misbehaving, having their own agenda, being shady by making false or misleading representations and hoping no one will be none the wiser, thinking they are fooling someone and they are not, and planning and executing many behind the back dirtiness; definition of slick.

SLICK HUSBANDS

Watching Apollo repeatedly say he “could have slept with me if he wanted to” and seeing the way he behaves in his marriage just reminds me of how immature, disrespectful, and dishonest he is to his wife, marriage, and in life. Leopards don’t change their spots. Lying landed him in prison. His mouth says one thing, but reality and his character speak volumes: If he could have, he would have. I’m done with this.

Seeing the dynamic of Kandi’s relationship drama unfold with her mother and Todd was like watching a movie that doesn’t know what genre it’s classified in.  Is it a horror movie?  When Mama Joyce tells Todd that Kandi “stepped herself down for him.” With my mouth agape I was horrified that she would say something so hurtful and disrespectful. Is it a love story? Todd asserting his love for Kandi and his desire to repair the relationship with Kandi’s mom in hopes of moving forward and some day marrying.  And Mama Joyce professing she will stop at nothing to protect her daughter. Is it a thriller? When Mama Joyce accuses Todd of being an opportunist and vows to hunt Todd down while investigating him. A dramedy? Emotionally conflicted I haven’t laughed and cried while watching our show so much. I had to make sure I wasn’t at a Tyler Perry movie! (LOL!) Although I sincerely appreciate the love these two have for Kandi, the way to a resolution is to speak honestly, respectfully, and constructively. Hurling insults, daggers, and threats is not a positive way to work on any relationship. In my humble opinion, Todd handled the situation with dignity, respect, and caution. Mama Joyce on the other hand… although a work in progress, she is old school to her core and you can’t slick a can of oil.  To be continued.

Cynthia is a wonderful mother as evidenced by the open communication she has with Noelle. Although I do not personally think that a 13-year-old should have a boyfriend, that is Cynthia’s personal choice for her family. What I do appreciate is that Cynthia encourages honesty with Noelle, and that should be applauded. But children are just that -- children. For me, I was the slickest child anyone could imagine... Stealing the family car by backing it out of the driveway until it could no longer be heard when started, changing clothes at school, and having secrets. I can’t imagine having a daughter and having to hear about her dating, liking, or kissing boys. I appreciate the mother Cynthia is to Noelle, and in this case, I don’t envy the position she is in. With that said, Cynthia is one of the kindest, smartest, and most gracious women I know. I’m confident that Noelle will depend on the lessons her model mother -- figuratively and literally speaking -- has engraved in her during her formative years.

SLICK FRIENDS

It was a blessing to find a new home with a great landlord. Lawrence was so funny being slick as if he was actually moving any boxes. LOL! I love that he showed up, and he is one of the only people I can call a true friend. You can only call real friends to help you move!

At this time I know you all have heard of some recent health scares involving NeNe. I am wishing her well and know that she is doing well because God is good.

I am writing you from an amazing beach sipping on a piña colada. Now, I must get back to my drink. See you next week!
