Cynthia Bailey Rocks Bangs & a Showstopping Sparkly Outfit for a Special Night Out
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum has a fresh hairstyle and some dazzling new fashion for fall.
Cynthia Bailey doesn’t just have new seasons; she has new chapters. This past spring, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum announced that she had entered a life chapter called “MY turn.” And this fall, it seems Cynthia is in her “alignment” era — with a new hairstyle and some fabulous fashion to go along with it.
Cynthia has never been shy about experimenting with her beauty look. In the clip above, you can check out some of the many styles she’s worn in the past. Her hairstyles range from tight curls to loose waves, and from side buns to braided updos. She’s also changed her hair color, giving us everything from reddish curls to blonde mermaid waves.
Bangs have also come and gone. A few years ago, for example, the Atlanta mom showed off long sideswept bangs as she wore her hair in a gently curled ponytail. And now the bangs are back — with some sparkling fashion to accompany them.
Cynthia Bailey’s New Bangs
In a September 17 Instagram post, Cynthia shared a photo of herself rocking long, dark, layered waves. She had short piece-y bangs to go with the look, which she attributed to hairstylist Scott Miller. For her makeup, the former model tapped Tony Stylez.
Cynthia’s eyes were framed with inky lashes and liner. She had nude lips and a wash of luminous bronzer on her cheeks. And speaking of luminous, her Jovani ensemble was covered in sparkles.
The look paired wide-legged pants with a matching jacket and a bra top. Each piece was decked in glittering black sequins. In her caption, Cynthia wrote: “Alignment.” She added a crown that needs no explanation.
So what was the occasion? In a later post, Cynthia revealed that she’d just attended a stylish event at the High Museum of Art Atlanta. The Faces of Fashion Art and Fashion Gala took place on September 16, and Cynthia was an honoree.
At the gala, the “Lake Bailey” resident received an award that named her a “fashion and beauty icon.” The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Mary Cosby hopped into the comments to show her friend some love. “You are So Deserving of this Reward!!” the Utah fashion maven wrote. “Love you.” (Cynthia responded, “Love [you] too!”)
This isn’t the first time Cynthia has been named an “icon.” Back in 2014, she received the Shero Icon Award at the 9th Annual Top 25 Women of Atlanta Awards. “It’s great to applaud and celebrate Black women who are doing great things in the city,” she said at the time.
